One day in June 2013, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un stopped by the Changsong Restaurant of the Korean architectural style while giving field guidance to various sectors of Changsong County, North Phyongan Province.
He dropped in at a dining room to learn about the operation of the restaurant and the visitors’ feedback.
In fact, he was much concerned about how the people liked the restaurant and whether they benefited from it.
He wore a bright smile after hearing from a local official that the restaurant was supplied with meat and processed foodstuffs by a livestock farming base and a food producer in the county and that it also offered such services as birthday spreads and wedding ceremonies.
An official brought a photo album and visitor’s book to him, and he was very pleased to see them turning one page after another.
He said as follows: It is the people who make the fairest appraisal of the work done by officials. If their appraisal is positive, there is no need for more evaluation. Officials should do everything to the liking of the people. Their demand and interests are to serve as the yardstick by which to appraise all work.
