Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Tuesday visited the Ministry of Public Security of the DPRK to congratulate and encourage the officers and men of the Public Security Forces on the occasion of the 80th founding anniversary of the public security organ.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un was accompanied by Jo Yong Won, secretary of the Central Committee of the WPK, Kim Hyong Sik, department director of the Central Committee of the WPK, and Kang Yun Sok, vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK.

When he arrived at the Ministry of Public Security, all the security personnel burst into enthusiastic cheers, looking up to him, the symbol of the mightiness of our Party and state and banner of all victories and glory, who is ushering in a new heyday of strengthening and developing the public security forces with his outstanding ideas and extraordinary leadership.

He was greeted respectfully by senior officials of the Ministry of Public Security including Minister Bang Tu Sop.

He extended warm congratulations to all the officers and men of the Public Security Forces on greeting the 80th founding anniversary on the militant journey of fulfilling their honorable mission of defending the revolution, social system and people, remaining faithful to the ideas and cause of the Party.

The national flag of the DPRK was hoisted.

He handed the congratulatory message to the Ministry of Public Security on its 80th founding anniversary.

The officials of the Ministry of Public Security extended boundless thanks to Kim Jong Un who reposed great confidence in and showed warm love to them on the occasion of the significant founding anniversary of the ministry so that they can invariably follow the road of victory and glory.

The valuable traces of the service personnel of the PSF who devoted their blood and lives to the struggle for defending the outposts of the grim revolution accompanying the serious class struggle are shining brilliantly in the history of the WPK which has dynamically led the socialist cause of Juche to victory, Kim Jong Un said, adding that in those sacred days the PSF have stood as a strong fortress around the WPK as befitting one of the two core forces of the DPRK without a moment's deviation.

Noting that it is the important mission of the public security organ of the DPRK to guarantee by law and arms the activities of the Party and the government who devote all their energies to defending Korean-style socialist system and promoting the people's wellbeing, he highly appreciated the feats performed by all the service personnel of the PSF who have carried forward the high revolutionary spirit, class consciousness and spirit of unconditionally serving the people as their noble ideological and spiritual qualities and successfully made the 80-year-long history as the Party's political guards and guardian of the socialist state and the people's government.

He called upon all the service personnel of the PSF to firmly arm themselves with the Party's idea of building public security consistent with the people-first principle, make a fundamental change and development in preparing the ranks to be the political and ideological elite, bolstering up their combat capability and carrying out their revolutionary tasks by displaying pure loyalty and making patriotic and united efforts and thus invariably add luster to their glorious tradition and honor.

Expressing belief that all the officers and men of the PSF remaining loyal to the leadership of the WPK would carry on the annals of service more worthwhile and glorious than the 80-year-long history, he had a meaningful photo taken with officials of the Ministry of Public Security.

At the end of the photo session, thunderous shout of death-defying defence the participants raised again out of their pledge of loyalty reverberated throughout the sky of November.

All the participants hardened their firm determination to redouble their efforts to fulfill the sacred mission of the Public Security Forces, cherishing the great trust and glory shown by Kim Jong Un all their lives and sharpening the treasured sword of the revolution and the red sword of the class, and thus reliably guarantee the victorious advance of the Juche revolution and the socialist cause.
