Pyongyang, December 16 (KCNA) -- The Workers' Party of Korea is accelerating the accomplishment of the epoch-making cause of reconstructing the regional economy completely based on new foundations, taking steps towards the comprehensive prosperity of Korean-style socialism in a responsible manner. Kangdong County greeted the day of inaugurating its regional-industry factories and leisure complex, adding to the joy of the second inauguration season in implementing the regional development policy which has come without delay thanks to the Party's guidance.

The modern light industry factories and multifunctional bases for cultural life, built in 20 cities and counties after seeing the exciting explosions in their ground-breaking ceremonies with the great joy, redoubled self-confidence and high spirit provided through the creative struggle in the first year for regional transformation, are significantly decorating the closing days of the historic year 2025, demonstrating the definite trend of the irreversible change and development.

An inauguration ceremony of regional-industry factories and leisure complex in Kangdong County for the Regional Development 20×10 Policy was held with splendor on December 15.

Kim Jong Un , general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, attended the ceremony.

When the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un arrived at the venue of the ceremony, all the participants broke into stormy cheers of "Hurrah!".

They extended the highest respect and glory to Kim Jong Un who is ushering in a heyday of changes, in which the outcomes of the gigantic revolution settle in the people's living as dear things as soon as possible, after setting the implementation of the regional development policy in the new era as a solemn oath and pledge the WPK made before the country and the people.

Present at the ceremony were senior officials of the Party, government and military organs, members of the Party central leadership body in Pyongyang, chief secretaries of the provincial Party committees, officials of the Party and power organs in Pyongyang and Kangdong County, working people and officers and men of the construction units.

Ri Il Hwan, member of the Political Bureau and secretary of the Central Committee of the WPK made an inauguration address.

The speaker said with excitement that another splendid inauguration ceremony is being held in Kangdong County, where the start of the grand construction in 2025 was declared and the first modern regional hospital was built.

He said that those factories and leisure complex are the precious assets brought by the energetic leadership of Kim Jong Un who dug the first spadeful of earth to signal the start of the projects at the groundbreaking ceremony and visited the construction sites several times to guide and take care of them. And he warmly congratulated the people of Kangdong County who would enjoy a new beautiful and civilized life under the warm blessing of the great father.

The speaker also extended warm thanks and encouragement to the soldier-builders and the officials and workers in the relevant sector, who successfully carried out the projects for regional development policy, always remembering the great trust of the Party which made them stand in the vanguard of the struggle for the regional development, and made positive contributions to the construction with a high sense of responsibility for implementing the Party's decision.

It is the consistent goal of Kim Jong Un 's policy on regional construction to make a nonstop leap forward with the passage of years in promoting the people's well-being and to orient and expand this undertaking in the direction of providing them with all the elements necessary for promoting the regional development and improving the people's living standards, he said, referring to the fact that Kim Jong Un energetically led the construction of the light industrial factories and leisure complexes conducive to the improvement of the regional people's material life and their moral and cultural development so that they would be perfectly built as a symbol of our own style of civilization and development.

He stressed that the eye-opening changes in Kangdong County, where a modern hospital, regional-industry factories and leisure complex have been built at the same time in less than a year, would tell forever the greatness and tremendous vitality of our Party's regional development policy along with the appearance of the happy people enjoying a civilized and wealthy life.

The epoch-making cause of fundamentally transforming the local areas is entering an orbit of overall expansion amid the succession of groundbreaking and inauguration ceremonies every year, the speaker said, ardently calling upon all to think and act in accordance with the great patriotic will of Kim Jong Un and devote wisdom, strength and enthusiasm to the prosperity of the country.

A large number of balloons rose up and fireworks were displayed over the venue of the inauguration ceremony overflowing with great emotion of the residents in Kangdong County who were significantly celebrating another auspicious event, to be specially recorded in the development history of the county, in the presence of the benevolent father of the large socialist family in their native place.

All the participants extended their boundless gratitude to the great artist of creation and construction and the outstanding leader of the people who is glorifying the annals of great changes for the regional development in the new era.
