The Central Mushroom Institute is a mushroom research base which was built according to the intention of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.
One day in October 2013, Kim Jong Un visited the newly-built Central Mushroom Institute.
That day, he dropped in at different places of the institute to learn about its construction and research work in detail. He said the institute was made dust-free, introduced geothermal heating system and was fully equipped with modern experimental apparatuses and facilities as intended by the Workers' Party of Korea.
What appeals to him, in particular, is that the mushroom substrate fermenting machine and other equipment needed for the research work and mushroom cultivation were manufactured with our own efforts and technology before their installation, he added.
He also said mushroom farms and mushroom producers with large capacity are being built in all parts of the country in hearty response to the call of the Party and stressed the need to give precedence to the scientific researches in order to put the mushroom production on an industrial and scientific basis.
That day, he emphasized that the officials and researchers of the Central Mushroom Institute should make great achievements in their scientific researches so as to turn the institute into a scientific research base giving substantial benefits to the people.
True to the noble will of Kim Jong Un who is always concerned for the people's happiness, the researchers of the Central Mushroom Institute are working hard to breed new strains of mushroom with high yield and nutritive value.
