Exhibition Promoting Dissemination and Development of Advanced Science and Technology

The Advanced Science and Technology and Products Exhibition-2025 took place at the Grand People’s Study House in the heart of the capital city of Pyongyang in November.
It drew more than 550 units in different economic sectors such as metal, chemical and machine-building industries, agriculture, light industry, public health, education and information industry, which presented over 800 advanced sci-tech research achievements and at least 1 600 products.
Put on display were new advanced technologies and products recognized in relevant sectors, including those which have been registered as national sci-tech achievements or awarded certificates of registered high-tech products.
Among them were achievements in research, development and introduction of advanced science and technology which have been highly appreciated at the national sci-tech festivals and shows and exhibitions of sci-tech achievements in different sectors.
The booth of the State Academy of Sciences stole the show at the exhibition.
The academy presented the techniques of producing reduced iron and synthetic fuel oil by coal gasification, which are advanced enough to help develop the economic infrastructure of the country. Other techniques and approaches especially for producing crystal thenardite, sodium carbonate, and ammonium sulphate with glauberite as the starting material and for controlling the supply of pulverized coal to the Juche iron-making rotary kiln are proved to be of great economic significance.
The State Hydro-meteorological Administration’s integrated weather forecasting system and county-level downpour and flood early warning system also stood out.
Ministries, national agencies and provincial people’s committees showed sci-tech breakthroughs in utility of green hydrogen, production of hard alloy and treatment of slag from rotary kiln.
The products at the booths of the public health sector pulled the crowd.
The boletus polysaccharide capsule from the Jongsong General Pharmaceutical Factory is highly effective in preventing and treating cancerous diseases. And the rare earth facial mask and the multifunctional wet tissue from the Moksong External Construction and Economic Technology Cooperation Company, and the sea cucumber and glue hematic tablet from the Koryo Chilbo Chemist’s of Pyongyang University of Medical Sciences were praised. Meanwhile, many other units presented medical appliances and health foods.
During the exhibition, there were sci-tech exchanges and dissemination.
