New Year is the start of a new hope.
The scientists of the Information Technology Institute of Kim Chaek University of Technology greeted the New Year 2026 with a higher ambition.
Official Ri Mun Chol said greeting the New Year, he looked back upon last year when they achieved successes in the development of cutting-edge technology, making a remarkable progress day by day and step by step, and continued:
"In 2025, the scientists of our institute set it as their research goal to develop IT products which are badly needed in reality and should be made without fail for the future development.
We promised to always go ahead of others in the efforts to develop the information industry of the country and put the national economy on a modern and IT footing, and successfully made huge scientific researches and simulated calculations by developing and introducing a computing system.
We strengthened cooperation and collaboration between sections and actively involved young researchers to complete the research tasks conducive to the development of science and technology in the shortest time.
In those days, our institute took the first place at the machine translation program contest and four products we developed were selected as the best ones. And our institute became one of the ten best IT enterprises.
In retrospect, the days and months of 2025 spent by the scientists of our institute started with a promise and have been a continuation of hard work to keep the promise, I think."
In 2025, the institute developed over ten valuable IT products including the Korean speech recognition program and the resource management system.
The researchers' memory of their efforts to blaze a trail for the development of science last year is not a simple retrospection, but an expression of their noble emotion for the present and the future.
Therefore, the recollection of 2025 when they pooled their wisdom and passion for the same purpose encourages them to make fresh successes in the New Year.
Greeting the New Year, the scientists of the Information Technology Institute of Kim Chaek University of Technology promised to develop more IT products of national significance with concerted efforts.
Their promise is a firm resolve and solemn pledge to devote their all to the researches for the development of science and technology of the country this year, too.
