Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un , General Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea, sent a congratulatory message to Comrade Thongloun Sisoulith, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP), on January 8.
The message reads as follows:
Esteemed Comrade General Secretary,
I send my warm congratulations to you as regards the successful holding of the Twelfth Congress of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party and the reelection of Comrade Thongloun Sisoulith as the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the LPRP.
Your reassuming of the important duty as the General Secretary is an expression of deep trust and expectation of all the members of your Party and the Lao people to Comrade General Secretary devoting yourself to the party, state and the people in a responsible manner.
I wish the fraternal Lao people new progress in the struggle for implementing the decisions of the Party Congress under the leadership of Comrade General Secretary.
I express belief that the friendly and cooperative relations between our two parties and two countries with a long history and tradition would grow stronger in all fields in the spirit of the agreement reached at our meeting in Pyongyang in October last year.
I wish Comrade General Secretary good health and great success in your responsible work.
