Pyongyang, January 17 (KCNA) -- From the historic day when a mass political organization of the Korean youth was born, the young people in the DPRK have performed only worthy feats, devoting their youthful vigor, ardent patriotic spirit and sincere sweat and efforts century after century.

As President Kim Il Sung founded the Democratic Youth League on January 17, 1946, the Korean youths could take their sacred steps in the vanguard of the honorable struggle for prosperity of the country under the banner of patriotism.

The vanguard role of the young people was remarkably enhanced as Chairman Kim Jong Il made sure that the High-Speed Youth Shock Brigade was organized in 1975.

Under the wise leadership of the respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un , the Korean youth movement greeted a fresh heyday in the new era of the Juche revolution.

Kim Jong Un read a letter from the young vanguard and sent his autographic letter to them in January 2012. And he led the young people step by step so that they always fulfill their sacred duty in the revolution and construction.

The Paektusan Hero Youth Power Station, built as a monument to the youth in the Paektu area, is a proud edifice fully demonstrating the validity and vitality of the politics of the Workers' Party of Korea on valuing the youth and the inexhaustible might of the youth power.

The whole country seethed with youthful vigor as the Paektusan hero youth spirit became the one of the times, and feats were performed in succession through the youth shock brigade activities on major fronts of economic construction.

During the 70-day campaign to greet the Seventh Congress of the WPK with a high degree of political enthusiasm and shining labor achievements, more than 1.2 million young people made collective innovations through the shock brigade activities, and during the 200-day campaign of loyalty after the congress, more than 17 000 young people fulfilled their national economic plans for four, three, two and one years ahead of schedule and over 500 equipment and machines were named "Youth".

The young people across the country have performed miracles and feats in the vanguard of the general onward march along the path of victory indicated by the Eighth Congress of the WPK. This is a precious fruit of the energetic leadership of the great Party Central Committee which clearly indicated the tasks and ways for preparing the youth league to be the successor and reserve of the Party with strong organizing ability and unity.

In the new era of the Juche revolution, many youth league officials and members grew up to be winners of Kim Il Sung Youth Honor Prize and Kim Jong Il Youth Honor Prize.

Kim Jong Un , the peerlessly great man, visited the construction site of the Sinuiju Combined Greenhouse Farm in the northwestern part of the country on the occasion of the hope-filled New Year 2026 and offered his warm blessings to the young builders. Such loving care is giving full play to the patriotic enthusiasm of the young people out as one in the grand new march. -0-
