The Pyongyang Hosiery Factory has become familiar with the Korean people along with its brand name "Choljjuk".
The factory produces hosiery of various styles according to sex, age and season, which is popular among people.
The hosiery produced at the factory is associated with the love of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who was concerned about the people's livelihood.
One day in July 2012, Kim Jong Un visited the Pyongyang Hosiery Factory.
At the newly-built men's socks workshop, he took up a pair of socks and pulled them on both sides to see their quality. And he stressed the need to keep developing the hosiery-packing methods and brand designs in conformity with the people's likings and demand of the times.
At the sample room, he said, pointing at a pair of socks, that women wouldn't like such socks and that it is necessary to improve the colours and patterns of the hosiery in line with the developing reality and the people's likings.
The people's demands for clothes and hosiery are bound to grow along with the development of the times, he said and called for making decent and modern hosiery designs suited to the people's likings.
True to the request made by Kim Jong Un on the day, the officials and employees of the factory are producing hosiery favoured by the people.
