Pyongyang, February 8 (KCNA) -- Leading newspapers of the DPRK Sunday dedicate editorials to the 78th founding anniversary of the Korean People's Army.
The papers say that the birth of the KPA inheriting the tradition of the anti-Japanese armed struggle on February 8, 1948 was a political event of epochal significance in the history of building the revolutionary armed forces and accomplishing the revolutionary cause of Juche.
Over the past 78 years, the KPA has honorably defended the dignity of the country and the people while concluding every anti-imperialist confrontation with the undeniable clear victory and performed brilliant feats which no one can substitute for in the struggle for socialist construction and the promotion of people's wellbeing, says Rodong Sinmun in an editorial, and goes on:
The KPA developed into the invincible ranks and elite revolutionary army under the wise guidance of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il , the founder-builder of the Juche-oriented revolutionary armed forces and iron-willed commander. Now it has greeted the greatest heyday of its development under the leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un . Thanks to his outstanding guidance, the KPA is bravely smashing all challenges and crises with the strongest politico-ideological and military technological might and firmly guaranteeing the overall development of socialism.
The KPA is the revolutionary armed forces of the Workers' Party of Korea remaining absolutely loyal and obedient to the ideas and leadership of the Party Central Committee.
The character of the KPA is immutable as it has put the traces of sacrifice and feats on the stages of victory guided by the Party ahead of others, well aware of the plan and intention of the Party Central Committee, and shown no mercy to the enemies trying to check the cause of the Party.
The KPA is the creator of people's happiness as it has played a leading and core role in the vanguard of socialist construction.
The KPA is the pride of our Party and people and the symbol of our state's reputation and strength as it has defended the absolute dignity of the DPRK and the eternal happiness of the people with its indomitable spiritual strength and invincible might.
Minju Joson in an editorial says that the ever-victorious history of the heroic KPA led by Kim Jong Un , the greatest brilliant commander, will be immortal century after century. -0-
