Pyongyang, February 8 (KCNA) -- Groundbreaking ceremonies for the regional development policy-oriented construction for the new year were held in Sinphyong and Sonchon counties of the DPRK on February 7, amid the growing patriotic will and fighting spirit of all the people to accelerate the overall prosperity and development of Korean-style socialism under the blueprint to be indicated by the Ninth Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea.

Present at the ceremonies were Choe Ryong Hae, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee and chairman of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK, Ju Chang Il, department director of the C.C, WPK, chief secretaries of provincial committees of the WPK, officials in the relevant provinces and counties, working people and service personnel.

At the ceremonies speakers said that a new era of national rejuvenation, an era of remarkable changes, is ushered in thanks to the leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who has boldly pioneered and invariably accomplished the unprecedented revolution for realizing the centuries-old desire of the regional people.

They said that the ceremonies add inexhaustible vitality to the ranks of general advance to glorify the significant year 2026, greeted with ardent patriotism and boundless pride, as a year of eventful successes and eye-opening changes to be specially recorded in the history of the country and to more vigorously usher in a period of the comprehensive national prosperity with the clear and sure development of regions.

They stressed that thanks to the wise guidance of the great Party Central Committee, which put forward the absolute popular spirit as the lifeblood of its policy, the wealth of prosperity will surely spring up in the relevant regions at the end of the year and the bright future, in which the people across the country live in happiness all together, will be brought earlier.

They ardently called on all the soldier-builders, officials and working people to glorify this year when the glorious Party Congress is to be held as a year of fresh advance and leap forward by faithfully upholding the ideas and leadership of Kim Jong Un with single mind.

Then the commanders of 124th regiments of the Korean People's Army made pledge-taking speeches.

They vowed to make a new history of regional transformation with perfect practice by kindling the flames of collective and successive innovations and of setting new standards and new records at every construction site.

The projects began amid the stormy cheers and shouts for devoted implementation raised by the participants with surging enthusiasm. -0-
