The Sunchon Catfish Farm is one of the well-known catfish farms in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.
One day in November 2017, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the newly-built Sunchon Catfish Farm.
That day, he said with pleasure: It is great that the equipment of the farm and the materials used for its construction including outdoor paints of beautiful colours and paving blocks laid in its compound were all produced by industrial establishments in the province. Perhaps for that reason, the interior and exterior of the farm look brighter.
I am very pleased to see the ponds teeming with catfish though it was not long after the farm was inaugurated. And the piles of frozen catfish in every cold storage warm my heart.
South Phyongan Province built the farm well. The Sunchon Catfish Farm is a proud creation of the firm faith and ardent passion of the people and officials of the province to implement the Party policy and their revolutionary spirit of self-reliance, he added.
