A new history of civilization and rejuvenation is written in five years since the start of the work for implementing the rural revolution programme of the Workers' Party of Korea in the new era.
It is a far-reaching plan and the rural construction policy of the WPK to turn all the rural villages across the country into rich and cultured socialist utopias.
The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the Junghung Farm in the city of Samjiyon some years ago and mapped out a plan to build the farm as a model of the socialist cultured mountainous city.
One day in November 2021, he visited the Junghung Farm to see the farmers moving into new houses.
That day he said: The farm villages in the city of Samjiyon including that of the Junghung Farm have been built in socialist style. It can be said that they were passed as all the farmers like them. The new farm villages in the city are a model of the rural villages across the country we plan to build in the future.
It is the determination of the Party to build such rural villages not only in the city of Samjiyon but in all other parts of the country. This is not a pipe dream but our task and goal. It is an undertaking to be carried out in our generation at any cost.
Kim Jong Un expressed his firm resolve to completely change the rural villages throughout the country, not just the city of Samjiyon, as he has an iron will to provide the people with lasting wealth and happier living conditions without fail, no matter how difficult it may be.
At the Fourth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the WPK held in December 2021, he put forward the rural revolution programme in the new era, and said we should regard the rural revolution as the supreme task our generation must carry out without fail for the younger generations and work hard for its implementation and thus open up a new phase of rapid development of the countryside and powerfully propel the overall development of the society.
Thanks to the steadfast will of Kim Jong Un, the rural villages of our country are changing more splendidly with each passing day.
