The core of the defence policy of the Workers' Party of Korea is to defend our country and people by our own efforts, and contain any threat and challenge and reliably safeguard peace by means of steadily-developing, powerful defence capability.
On January 27, 2026, the Missile Administration of the Democratic People's Republic of Koreaconducted a test-fire to verify the effectiveness of alarge-caliber multiple rocket launcher system upgraded with new technology.
The respected Comrade KimJong Un oversaw the test-fire.
Expressing satisfaction over the result of the test, he said:
"Today's test is of great significance in improving theeffectiveness of our strategic deterrent.
The self-steered precisely guided flight system, which can neglect anyoutside intervention, is a major feature that demonstrates the superiority ofthis weapon system.
As I have always emphasized, the relevant activities we conduct areclearly aimed at none other than further raising the level of our deterrentagainst a nuclear war."
This is an indispensable measure for self-defence of the DPRK today.
Kim Jong Un stressed that it is the invariable line of ourParty's national defence policy to build up the most reliable offensivecapability and enforce the deterrence strategy based on it. And he said thatthe Ninth Congress of the WPK will clarify the next-stage plans for furtherbolstering up the country's nuclear war deterrent.
Our self-defence capability will keep changing to be unchallenged.
