Enlarged plenary meetings were held at the Party committees of the Ministry of Railways, the Ministry of Land and Maritime Transport, the Pyongyang Construction Commission, the State Academy of Sciences, the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports between the 4th and the 6th to implement the decisions of the Ninth Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea and the First Plenary Meeting of the Ninth Party Central Committee.
Present there were members and alternate members of those Party committees and officials concerned were on hand as observers.
The meetings seriously discussed and decided on the measures to perfectly carry out the tasks facing their sectors and units by dint of redoubled fighting efficiency and offensive mode of progress on the basis of the successes and experience gained in the past five-year struggle that pioneered the era of comprehensive development of socialism.
Reports were made, specific tasks and ways of the Party organizations at all levels during the new five-year plan presented and speeches delivered at the meetings.
Then the meetings adopted the decisions to guarantee the thorough and perfect implementation of the policy-oriented tasks set forth at the Ninth Congress of the WPK and the First Plenary Meeting of the Ninth Party Central Committee.
