Pyongyang, March 11 (KCNA) — Preparations for the election of deputies to the Supreme People’s Assembly are being pushed forward in the DPRK.
After the decision of the Standing Committee of the SPA of the DPRK on holding the election of deputies to the SPA of the DPRK was issued, election committees were organized at constituencies and sub-constituencies in provinces (municipalities), cities (districts), counties and armed forces sector under the Law of the DPRK on the Elections of Deputies to the People’s Assemblies at All Levels. The election committees have started their work.
Meetings of voters for examining the qualifications of candidates for deputies are being held successfully across the country.
The constituency committees have informed the voters of the careers and merits of those nominated candidates before the voters’ meeting to make the masses’ will accurately reflected, thus thoroughly ensuring the objectivity and fairness of examination.
The constituency committees register as candidates for deputies those officials, workers, peasants and other working people of all social strata and service personnel who are boundlessly loyal to the cause of the Workers’ Party of Korea and devoted to the struggle for the prosperity of the country and the promotion of the people’s wellbeing and popular among the masses.
The work for arranging the polling booths is brisk at sub-constituencies across the country, thanks to the voters’ consciousness of civic duty and patriotism.
Party and power organs and working people’s organizations in Pyongyang and local areas intensify the organizational and political work to make all citizens take an active part in the election with the pride of being masters of the state power and clearly demonstrate the advantages of the Korean-style socialist system.
Meanwhile, a campaign is brisk across the country to give wide publicity to the rights of voters and election procedures and methods and redouble the people’s political enthusiasm to significantly greet the election of deputies to the SPA, through broadcasting, publications and other media means.
