A joint meeting of Nordic political parties and organizations was held and a reception given for them in Sweden to commemorate the Ninth Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea.
Present at the event were members of political parties, organizations, Juche idea study organizations and organizations for friendship and solidarity with the Korean people and personages of broad stripes of Norway, Denmark, Sweden and Finland and the charge d'affaires ad interim of the embassy of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea in Sweden.
The participants laid bouquets before a joint picture of the great leaders Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and paid tribute to them.
Speeches were made at the event.
A joint statement of Nordic political parties and organizations was adopted at the event.
The statement said that through the Ninth Congress of the WPK, the DPRK showed its firm will to powerfully accelerate the socialist construction and steadily take the road of independent development in spite of the pressure of the outside forces. It stressed that the WPK led by the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un will lead the Korean people to victory and prosperity in the future, too.
It expressed the stand of Nordic political parties and organizations to further strengthen the support to and solidarity with the cause of the WPK and friendship with the Korean people.
