Pyongyang, April 8 (KCNA) — The orchestra combined with electronic instruments, which suits the thoughts and feelings, aesthetic view and daily-growing emotional demand of the Korean people, was formed to create musical art of new style.
The orchestra greatly excited the audience through its unheard-of play at the grand performance celebrating the 74th birthday of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea and recent national celebration performances.
Experts say that the orchestra is varied in timbre, emotional in expressiveness and sound, and plays music in perfect three-dimensional way.
It produces a beautiful timbre, which could not be heard in classical orchestral music, and the sounds of flowing water and birds and other innumerable sounds in nature, thus supporting the contents of the words and melodies.
The development of such peculiar Korean-style orchestra would have been unthinkable without the guidance of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.
The respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un gave an instruction on combining orchestra with electronic music in Korean style and clarified the best ways to do so. Thanks to his meticulous guidance, the unique orchestral pieces could be created to suit the demand and aesthetic feelings of the Korean people.
While enjoying the songs “The National Anthem of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea”, “My Strong Motherland”, etc., audience expressed their opinions that the orchestra enriched the contents and emotional timbre of music pieces through the playing of preludes by electronic instruments, harmonized well the timbre of each instrument and showed well the world of mysterious and conspicuous music.
