Pyongyang, April 11 (KCNA) -- In Pyongyang there is a place called Mangyongdae, widely known for its beautiful scenery from olden times.
The name Mangyongdae originated from Mangyong Hill.
10 famous scenes of Hwachon constitute the beautiful scenery of Mangyongdae from olden times.
The best one is its scenic beauty in spring reminiscent of a large flower garden.
Among the famous scenes are also the nocturnal appearances of islands being bathed in the moonlight reflected on the surface of the River Taedong that flows around the foot of Mangyong Hill, the mountainous terrain symbolic of strong spirit and youthful vigor, nostalgic looks of the valleys full of calves freely grazing on the grass, and the views of surrounding places seething with fishermen and seed-sowing farmers.

In Mangyongdae there is the birthplace of President Kim Il Sung , a peerlessly great man praised and revered by not only the Korean people but also other progressive peoples in the world.
