Comrade Wang Yi, Member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China (PRC), arrived in Pyongyang on April 9 to visit the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) at the invitation of the DPRK Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The national flags of the DPRK and the PRC were fluttering at the flagstaffs of Pyongyang International Airport and the guard of honor of the Korean People’s Army lined up at the apron before the terminal.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of China and his party were warmly greeted by Comrade Choe Son Hui, Member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the DPRK, officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Chinese Ambassador to the DPRK Comrade Wang Yajun and staff members of his embassy.
A woman worker presented a bouquet to Comrade Wang Yi.
At the airport, the masses warmly welcomed the friends from China, waving national flags of the two countries.
