Pyongyang, April 15 (KCNA) — On the occasion of the 114th birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung, the people in the DPRK are thinking about the song “Nostalgia” with deep emotion.
This immortal classic masterpiece not only arousing love and yearning for the hometown but also implanting preciousness of the homeland into one’s mind was created by the President during the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle.
In good or bad days and whenever he did a good thing for the wellbeing of the people, he would sing this song. Even in his advanced age of eighty, he sang the song, deeply cherishing the noble sense of mission and responsibility he assumed for the country and its people.
During the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle, the President instilled noble patriotism and steadfast revolutionary spirit into the hearts of the fighters, singing the song “Nostalgia”.
When he met the heroes of the Republic and model fighters in late June 1951, the period of the Fatherland Liberation War, he accepted their request and sang this song, encouraging them to perform the greater heroic feats.
In the early 1990s when the imperialists were talking about the “end” of socialism, the “Nostalgia” sung by the President reflected his great expectation and belief that Korean-style socialism should be firmly defended and glorified generation after generation.
The immortal classic masterpiece “Nostalgia” resounds endlessly, telling about the sacred life of the President who devoted his all to the prosperity of the country and the happiness of the people.
