The entire people and service personnel of the People's Army across the country grandly celebrated the 114th birth anniversary of the great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung.
An endless stream of people visited the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun, the supreme temple of Juche, where the great leaders Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il are laid in state.
The working people, who called at President Kim Il Sung's birthplace at the historic Mangyongdae, deeply felt the immortal exploits of Comrade Kim Il Sung who wrote the sacred history of people-first principle, regarding it as his motto to believe in the people as in heaven.
The flag of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea was fluttering at major places in the city of Pyongyang, and the provincial, city and county seats and at the institutions, industrial establishments and farms across the county and visual aids put up, increasing the festive mood all the more.
Pupils in all parts of the country joined the Korean Children's Union on the occasion of the significant Day of the Sun.
Colourful performances were given at theatres in the capital city and provinces.
Dancing parties were held in different parts of the country including South Phyongan and North Hwanghae provinces and the city of Rason.
People enjoyed themselves at the cultural recreation resorts including the Central Zoo and the Natural History Museum and public catering service amenities throughout the country were crowded with many people.
