Pyongyang, April 27 (KCNA) -- A vegetable greenhouse complex is being built in Ragwonpho with a modern offshore farm and wonderful dwellings fit for the coastal area, according to Rodong Sinmun.
The builders are building two glass hydroponic greenhouses and scores of vinyl greenhouses, all of which can put the production of vegetables on a modern, intensive and industrial basis, an office building, a welfare facility, vegetable storehouse, a vegetable store, a carbonic-acid-gas production workshop, a nutrient-solution supplying place, etc. All of them will harmonize well with each other in their districts.
The greenhouses will be furnished with modern equipment and use advanced technologies such as a solution-culture technology and a comprehensive nutrient-solution analysis system. They will turn out all kinds of leaf and root vegetables and vegetable fruits.
If an intelligent integrated production system is established, such jobs as adjustments of temperature, humidity and light, nutrient-solution supplying, etc. will be carried out automatically according to the specific characters of all the species.
The builders are stepping up the construction by closely cooperating with each other in the construction work and reducing the time of all their work.
It is more than 50 days since the construction started, but the foundation excavation was completed and the foundation concreting has entered a full-scale stage with the necessary blocks secured. -0-
