Pyongyang, May 12 (KCNA) -- There are springs gushing out from mountains among the abundant mineral water resources in the DPRK.
The spring water resources for medical treatment are one of the effective means for promoting the people's health and treating diseases and one of the country's precious natural resources for medical treatment.
From olden times, the Korean ancestors called spring water gushing out from mountains the one for longevity.
The DPRK has many springs that conform to the standard of health and longevity assessment.
In the capital city of Pyongyang, there are tens of healthy springs with a high mineral content including Mangyongdae Spring Water Nos. 1 and 2.
Sindok Spring Water in Onchon County, registered as a natural monument, is well known to the world for its water quality.
Besides, there are many springs in every part of the country, including Yangdok Spring Water, Okgye Spring Water, Tami Spring Water, Ryonggang Spring Water, Thaetan Spring Water and Yonthan Spring Water.
Jongbangsan Spring Water, too, has good taste, health and longevity indexes.
