The Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea sent a congratulatory message to the participants in the Ninth Congress of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea and the workers and trade unionists across the country on the 11th.
The message warmly congratulated the entire delegates to the Ninth Congress of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea and sent warm encouragement to the workers and trade unionists across the country who are writing a heroic epic which will shine forever in the history of nation building.
The period under review of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea is shining with the pride of the trade union organizations and officials and workers who added stamina and vigour to the advance of the Korean revolution by rising up as one to repay the expectations of the Party Central Committee which held them up as the vanguard unit of struggle for making a new upturn and development of socialist construction, the message said and highly appreciated their responsible and devoted efforts for it.
The message said the new five-year plan period is a very important period when the workers and trade unionists intensely loyal to the cause of the Party and the state and to their responsibility should more fully display their patriotic enthusiasm and practical ability, and indicated the basic tasks and ways for the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea in arousing the working people to performing proud feats from the first year of implementing the decisions of the Ninth Party Congress.
The message expressed the belief that the entire workers and trade unionists would fully display their honour as the most thoroughgoing defenders and implementers of the Party policies and the core unit of socialist construction in the future struggle for carrying out the new five-year plan as well.
