The Second Enlarged Plenary Meeting of the Eleventh Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League was held on May 14.
Present there were members and alternate members of the SPYL Central Committee.
Present there as observers were officials of the SPYL Central Committee and ministry, national agency, provincial, city and county committees of the youth league.
The meeting discussed the issue of thoroughly implementing the tasks set forth in the congratulatory letter sent by the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea to the participants in the Eleventh Congress of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League and other young people across the country.
The congratulatory letter was read out at the meeting first.
Then resolution-making speeches were made.
The speakers said that they would conduct proactive political and ideological education methodologically to arouse all the youth league organizations and members to the struggle to thoroughly carry out the tasks advanced in the congratulatory letter.
They expressed their resolve to bring about a radical turn in the work of the youth league by fundamentally improving the style and manner of work with the Party's ideas and policies as absolute standards, and to prepare youth league members to be true young vanguard who dedicate themselves to the building of a prosperous country with noble loyalty to the Party and ardent patriotism.
The meeting studied and discussed the tasks for and ways of making the future five years a period of more dynamic boom for the Korean youth movement by concentrating all types of ideological work on steadily keeping up the heightened revolutionary spirit and enthusiasm of the young people and thereby inspiring all the youth league organizations and members to take the lead in carrying out the new five-year plan.
The meeting adopted a relevant decision on the basis of the study and discussion of the draft decision.
