Scientific Research Achievements Conducive to Implementing Regional Development Policy

Pyongyang, May 28 (KCNA) -- In late March, the highest science and technology prize of the DPRK was awarded to five research achievements conducive to establishing production processes at regional-industry factories and offshore farms, and more than 20 officials and scientists of various universities and scientific research units, who played a key role in carrying out the project, received the certificate of the February 16 Science and Technology Prize.
A research group of Kim Il Sung University developed an integrated production system for offshore farm, which is of significance in increasing productivity and improving the management of marine ecological environment, taking into consideration the natural and geographical conditions of the relevant water areas and the marine ecological environment conditions.
By developing and building an integrated production system of our own style, it opened up a prospect for putting the whole processes ranging from the management of breeding grounds to the maintenance of ecological environment at offshore farms on a higher scientific basis.
Scientists of Pyongyang Han Tok Su University of Light Industry newly completed the Korean-style oil refining process, laying a foundation for producing tasty and high-quality oil with locally available raw materials in many cities and counties across the country.
Researchers of Pyongyang Jang Chol Gu University of Commerce put forward a technical preparation method for optimizing the production of clothing products and improving the quality of products at regional garment factories.
A research group of the Control Machine Institute under the State Academy of Sciences played a big role in domestic production of foodstuff equipment capable of producing bread of various kinds and sizes.
Scientists of the Food Research Institute of the Food and Consumer Goods Research Institute under the Ministry of Regional Industry have built a process of producing gluten-reinforcing agent with large capacity to strengthen the gluten strength of flour. -0-
