One day in May 2019, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un called at Unit 2 of the Kumyagang Power Station.
Looking at the imposing dam for a while, he said with great satisfaction that it had been built in a good position and he was very pleased to see the reservoir of the power station full of water in the dry season.
After a while, he learned in detail about the operation of the power station and expressed his intention to go up to the dam.
The accompanying officials were very surprised at that time, Lecturer Kim Hyang Bok at the Korean Revolution Museum said and continued:
"The metal ladder was used by those on duty when they patrolled to watch the conditions of the dam of the power station and its sluices, water level and the like. It was steep and narrow.
Officials told him it was too dangerous, but the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un climbed up the metal ladder without hesitation.
Indeed, he was so concerned to provide the people with more civilized living conditions."
Commanding a bird's-eye view of the surroundings in the middle of the bridge for regulating pond inspection, Comrade Kim Jong Un said that the reservoir has quite a large volume of water and as it is always full of water, we can generate electricity, provide domestic water and do farming with it.
Then he said to an official with satisfaction that people would be so happy if more generators were installed and they got great benefits from electricity.
As said above, Comrade Kim Jong Un valued even a minor power station if it was built for the people and climbed up the steep metal ladder without hesitation.
