Pyongyang, December 6 (KCNA) -- Self-reliance and self-sufficiency are the important struggle strategy that the Workers' Party of Korea consistently holds up in the building of a thriving country, says Rodong Sinmun in an article Thursday.
The article continues:
Whenever the Party is faced with enormous tasks it does not pin its hopes on any foreign support, but attaches great importance to setting in motion the revolutionary zeal of the people, the mental power of self-reliance. And the Party has performed miracles and changes in reliance upon it.
Only when the revolutionary spirit of self-reliance and fortitude displayed in the history of the Republic is fully demonstrated, can a final victory of the revolution be won.
The spirit is very instrumental in frustrating the sanctions of the hostile forces and turning a misfortune into a blessing.
The sanctions of the hostile forces never work on the Korean people strong in class self-respect.
The revolutionary spirit is the powerful driving force for the most rapid development of the country.
Only when all the fields and units make a breakthrough in production revitalization based on local efforts, technology and resources, can the grandiose plan of the Party for the building of an economic giant come true with success.
