Pyongyang, January 24 (KCNA) -- An appeal to all Koreans was adopted at the joint conference of the government, political parties and organizations of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea held here on Wednesday.

The appeal said that the historic New Year Address made by Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un is a bright path and signpost of victory for making greater advance in developing the inter-Korean relations and achieving peace and prosperity and accomplishing the cause of national reunification this year by the concerted efforts of the Korean nation.

The government, political parties and organizations of the DPRK called in the appeal, reflecting all Koreans' unanimous demand and will to continue to make the proud history for national reconciliation and unity, peace and prosperity as follows:

1. Let all the fellow countrymen hold high the slogan "Let us usher in a heyday of peace, prosperity and reunification of the Korean peninsula by thoroughly implementing the historic north-south declarations!"

Let the north and the south value the historic declarations made by them before the nation and consistently accelerate their implementation!

Let the Koreans at home and abroad turn out as one in the patriotic movement for reunification to implement the north-south declarations with one mind wherever they live!

2. Let us eradicate military hostility between the north and the south and make the Korean Peninsula a durable and lasting peace zone!

Let the whole Korean nation uproot the source of the military hostility on the Korean Peninsula and turn the three thousand-ri land of Korea into the true home, which is the most peaceful in the world and will prosper forever, in firm unity under the banner of peace against war!

3. Let us comprehensively expand and develop cooperation and exchange between the north and the south!

Let the north and the south further accelerate cooperation and exchange between the north and the south that started the first step, deepen understanding and trust with each other and in this course, positively propel national reconciliation and unity!

Let us heighten vigilance against the cunning moves of outsiders to create mistrust and bad blood between the north and the south and resolutely smash the sinister attempt to subordinate inter-Korean relations to their tastes and interests!

4. Let us make a proposal for peaceful reunification based on a nationwide agreement and make sincere efforts to realize it!

It is necessary to pool their wisdom and efforts to make a nationwide proposal for reunification in line with the will and demand of the nation on a basis of recognizing ideologies and systems existing in the north and the south and allowing them.

Let all of us further accelerate the nationwide advance for implementing the north-south declarations with the conviction in certain victory and courage and thus glorify this year as a historic one when another radical change is brought about in the development of inter-Korean relations and accomplishment of the cause of national reunification! -0-
