Pyongyang, June 1 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea, chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and supreme commander of the armed forces of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, gave field guidance to the Kanggye General Tractor Plant.

Looking round the revolutionary museum, the Supreme Leader of the Party, the State and the armed forces said that the 70 year-long history of the plant is the history of noble spirit and staunch revolutionary spirit, amazing creation and feats of the workers of the plant who have regarded the connection with the Party as bloodline and lifeline, responded to with a reply "yes" and devotedly done what the Party wanted and upheld the Party with their pure conscience and obligation generation after generation.

At the product show room he looked round various kinds of machines recently turned out at the plant.

He highly appreciated the plant for having produced highly efficient machinery and equipment conducive to the national economy and the strengthening of the defence capabilities.

He made rounds of various places of the plant including material processing workshop, processing workshop and assembling workshop to learn in details about the production and level of technical equipment.

He stressed the need to continue to work hard for establishing a cultured way of production that the Party wants.

He set forth the highly important tasks which will serve as guidelines in management and operation of the plant, saying that the plant holds an important place in developing the machine-building industry of the country.

He learned about the supply service of the plant and said that it is a very good thing to do bean farming well and lay a firm foundation of supply service including vegetable greenhouse, mushroom production base, duck farm, pig farm, fish farm and loach pond and build economic life by its own efforts and put supply of subsidiary food to the employees on a regular basis.

He gave instructions that the plant party committee should give priority to the supply service and always pay deep attention to livelihood of the employees and take care of them in the future, too.

He looked round the sci-tech learning space to acquaint himself with the operation.

Then he enjoyed a grand chorus performance "Our plant shining with the lineage of Mt Paektu" given by the workers of the plant.

He expressed great expectation and belief that the officials, party members and other working people will creditably carry out a new militant task given by the Party without fail in the future, too, saying that the plant has a brilliant tradition with which it has fulfilled its responsibility and role as a core in implementing the economic policy of the Party for the last 70 years.

Accompanying him were leading officials of the Party Central Committee including Jo Yong Won, Yu Jin, Kim Yong Su and Hyon Song Wol and leading officials of the State Affairs Commission including Kim Chang Son and Ma Won Chun. -0-
