As of mid-June the Taean Friendship Glass Factory provided hundreds of thousands of square meters of plate glass to Samjiyon County, the Wonsan-Kalma coastal tourist area, the hot-spring tourist area in Yangdok County and other major places under construction.
The factory ensures that raw materials are supplied to its workshops on a priority basis and that they organize their production down to the minutest detail to yield lots of products.
Its raw materials workshop adopted the method of iron dust removal by permanent magnet to crush raw materials, thereby improving the quality of its glass products on all indices.
In the control room of the factory’s plate glass workshop controllers observe standard procedures in operating a blast furnace, an agglomerating furnace and an annealing furnace, fully informed of their actual conditions, and help toward producing high-quality glass plates.
Glass plates are transported to the major construction sites the instant they are turned out.
