    Seeing in the New Year, the world progressive people eagerly looked forward to New Year Address to be made by Chairman Kim Jong Un. In other words, expectation of the New Year Address in 2019 to be made public on the basis of the historic exploits performed in 2018 by Chairman Kim Jong Un was ardent, indeed.

    The year 2018 was a remarkable year in which the events that would be recorded in the human history were taken place in succession under the leadership of Chairman Kim Jong Un.

    In his New Year Address, Chairman Kim Jong Un plainly reviewed the successes achieved in 2018 and, on its basis, explicitly referred to development of the DPRK’s socialism, establishment of lasting and durable peace in north and south Korea and reliable progress of the DPRK-US relations.

    Reading the New Year Address, I was deeply moved by Chairman Kim Jong Un’s firm faith in the revolutionary cause of Juche and trust in his people.

    Chairman Kim Jong Un referred that the DPRK should turn 2019 into the year of attaining the strategic goals for the state economic development by relying on its own technology and resources and high creative spirit and revolutionary enthusiasm of its people and into the year of switching to the stage of a fresh growth, holding the slogan “Let us open a new road of advance for socialist construction under the uplifted banner of self-reliance!” Saying that the Korean people will display zeal and strength to develop the Korean socialism with sure and wonderfully, Chairman Kim Jong Un expressed firm trust in his people.

    I also felt love for the people of Chairman Kim Jong Un who intends to make his people enjoy the best in the world by developing the Korean socialism.

    Chairman Kim Jong Un said that, in 2019, the DPRK should make greater strides in the efforts to boost inter-Korean relations, achieve peace and prosperity and reunify the country.

    Chairman Kim Jong Un is full of confidence to make the Korean people, who have suffered from pains of national division for nearly a century, live happily in a reunified country and hasten the day of reunification by the Korean people themselves. Chairman Kim Jong Un expressed expectation and confidence that the entire compatriots would unite firmly to realize peace and reunification in the Korean peninsula.

    As for the DPRK-US summit talks, Chairman Kim Jong Un said.

    “It is the invariable stand of our Party and the government of our Republic and my firm will to establish a new bilateral relationship that meets the demand of the new era as clarified in the June 12 DPRK-US Joint Statement, build a lasting and durable peace regime and advance towards complete denuclearization.”

    Chairman Kim Jong Un thinks that it is necessary to steadily build confidence with US step by step for the sake of global peace and independence and Korea’s peace and reunification and puts it into practice.

    Chairman Kim Jong Un said.

    “As evidenced by the reality of north-south relations that made rapid progress last year, nothing is impossible to a willing heart, and dialogue partners will reach the destinations that are beneficial to each other without fail if they put forward fair proposals on the principle of recognizing and respecting each other by abandoning their dogged insistence broadmindedly and conduct negotiations with a proper stand and the will to settle issues.”

    Chairman Kim Jong Un expressed his resolute intention and will to have talks with the US president again and build an era of peace and cooperation desired by the world and made his decision to make efforts to realize it.

    His New Year Address is replete with the love for the people of Chairman Kim Jong Un who intends to completely realize their interests and his unshakable faith for the cause of independence.

    I believe that the future of Korea and the world will be rosy as long as Chairman Kim Jong Un has the will and makes efforts to translate into reality those he decided and promised no matter what obstacles and difficulties he may face.

    His New Year Address serves as the compass that indicates the bright future for the people of Korea and the world. The world people should study Chairman Kim Jong Un’s New Year Address and turn out in the direction indicated by him.

    I am deeply impressed by the fact that the world advances on a sound basis towards peace and prosperity thanks to Chairman Kim Jong Un’s love for and trust in the world people, and I am sure of it.

    The Juche idea followers of the world refresh their determination to achieve positive success in the study and dissemination of the Juche idea in their countries and the world.
