Recently, Japan revealed a plan of dispatching a P-3C patrol plane and a convoy to the Middle East region, saying that it is still determined to dispatch the Maritime SDF abroad.
The Maritime SDF dispatch is allegedly designed to ensure safety of Japanese ships.
Since its defeat in the Second World War, Japan has justified the overseas SDF dispatch under the signboard of "peace".
Japan describes its troop dispatch as "diplomatic efforts for detente", claiming that peace and stability in the Middle East are very important for the international community including Japan and that it is difficult for every country to defend the vast sea area alone.
But many of foreign media outlets say that Japan’s decision on SDF dispatch to the Strait of Hormuz is opposed by over half of its population and is likely to escalate the tension in the Middle East.
At the end of last year, a protest rally against troop dispatch was held outside the official residence of the prime minister. The protesters demanded the cancellation of the dispatch plan and observance of article 9 of the pacifist constitution.
It illustrates the mindset of the locals who would not spoil their future by themselves again under the war flag stained with crime and blood.
But the Japanese authorities, hell-bent on overseas expansion and revanche, decided the SDF's dispatch to the Middle East at a Cabinet meeting without the approval of the Diet.
Since Abe took power, Japan’s defense expenditure has been on the year-on-year increase, and this year Japan allocated 5 313. 3 billion yen for the military buildup programme that includes new spheres like the space and cyber space and the purchase of US-made weapons like F-35.
Japan is scheming to carry out military operations in any place of the world, and to upgrade its war capacity and thus realize its wild ambition of overseas reinvasion.
Yet, it is foolish to think that it can deceive the international community with rhetoric about peace and security.
