The Pyongyang City Youth Park Open-Air Theatre has been rebuilt and inaugurated.
The theatre at the foot of the scenic Moran Hill is a centre for ideological and cultural education with more than 10,000-seat stand, educational conditions such as circle rooms, and acoustic and lighting equipment. Its reconstruction has made it possible to add more brilliance to the immortal exploits of the great leaders who devoted themselves to the capital citizens and school youth and children.
Present at the inaugural ceremony held on the 16th were Kim Nung O, Chairman of the Pyongyang City Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials of the Party and government organs and officials and workers of industrial establishments and universities in the city, the employees of the theatre, builders, youth and students.
At the ceremony, a speaker said: The great leaders Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il chose the site of the open-air theatre at the foot of Moran Hill and named it the Pyongyang City Youth Park Open-Air Theatre. Giving field guidance to the theatre on several occasions, they indicated specific issues arising in its management and operation and sent a lot of acoustic equipment and means of cultural recreation to it.
The respected supreme leader Kim Jong Un had the Pyongyang City Youth Park Open-Air Theatre associated with the exploits of the great leaders built more wonderfully and energetically led the work, solving all problems, the speaker stressed.
After the ceremony, the participants looked round the rebuilt open-air theatre and enjoyed a performance given by school youth and children in Pyongyang.
