The US foreign policy think-tank, Randolph Bourne institute, recently exposed the man-killing the US forces committed using drones by quoting a retired officer’s notes.
In his notes, the retired officer called Brandon Bryant admitted that his drone unit of the US Air Force carried out drone attacks on 1 626 objects during his military service as a command pilot between 2006 and 2011, and that he himself killed at least 13 civilians.
According to him, the commanders of his unit ordered drone pilots to launch missiles to kill Afghan children, calling them “pups”, and boasted that the mission of drone pilots was to kill and destroy.
Deploring such a reality, he stressed that the US forces are more brutal than the Nazis, referring to the need to be well aware of that.
According to a British investigation organ, the US forces mounted about 6 790 drone attacks and killed at least 1 725 civilians in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Yemen and Somalia from 2004 to Feb 8 this year.
It asserted that the civilian death toll caused by the US-led “war on terror” since the 9/11 incident is estimated at from 500 000 at the least to 2 million.
Meanwhile, a British publication revealed that innocent people have fallen victim to US drone attacks in public places including wedding halls in Iraq and Syria alone, saying that among the dead were children and pregnant women.
