Tougher State Emergency Anti-Epidemic Steps Taken

Pyongyang, April 19 (KCNA) -- The anti-epidemic campaign involving the whole Party, the state and the society has been ratcheted up to implement the joint resolution adopted at a meeting of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.

The Non-Permanent Central Public Health Guidance Committee took measures for further intensifying the state emergency anti-epidemic system till COVID-19 can be checked worldwide.

The emergency anti-epidemic headquarters at all levels under the unified command of the central emergency anti-epidemic headquarters direct efforts to rigorously maintaining stable anti-epidemic situation on the principle of thoroughly subordinating everything to ensuring the health and safety of the people.

In border and demarcation line areas, the possibilities of inroads of the pandemic are being reexamined and thoroughgoing precautions taken in line with the lockdown of the borders and territorial air and waters.

A control and guidance have been intensified to ensure nationwide organization, consistency and compulsoriness in the anti-epidemic work including the stricter inspection, examination, quarantine and disinfection of arrivals from abroad and imports and responsible supply of materials for the emergency anti-epidemic work.

Hygienic information service to and medical observation of inhabitants across the country are being intensified and those under medical observation freed according to the anti-epidemic rules.

All the foreigners have been freed from quarantine and normal activities are allowed for those who have gone through 30 day-long medical observation.

People under medical observation were all freed in South Phyongan and North Hwanghae provinces and Rason City. -0-
