Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un sent birthday spreads to Ri Sin Ja, winner of the Order of Kim Il Sung, Labour Hero and former advisor to the Pyongyang Municipal Rural Economy Committee, and Ri Si Hup, winner of Kim Jong Il Prize, professor, PhD and researcher at Kim Chaek University of Technology, to mark their 80th birthday.
Ri Sin Ja was a farmer and information worker during the Chollima leap forward, who worked hard to arm her fellow farmers with the ideology of the Workers’ Party of Korea and inspire them to increase agricultural production.
President Kim Il Sung, on his visit to the ri where she worked in January 1961, highly appreciated her laudable deeds and placed the ordinary young farmer at the forefront of the times as a Red motivator and pacesetter in the movement for reforming people.
Afterwards, she worked as the chairwoman of a farm management board, a leading agricultural official in Pyongyang and deputy to the Supreme People’s Assembly.
