Many students made academic achievements over past decade

According to the Korean Central News Agency, nearly 10 000 university students have achieved good research results and some of them won international contests and championships in the past ten years.

The essays of students of Kim Il Sung University were published in influential international scientific journals, while those of Kim Chaek University of Technology contributed to the development of information communications technology, the steady production at industrial establishments and their modernization. Those of Pyongyang University of Architecture completed lots of exterior and interior designs for major construction projects including that for Samjiyon.

Students of Pyongyang Han Tok Su University of Light Industry and Wonsan University of Fisheries carried out research into the development of a paint by relying on domestic raw materials and came up with a research hit conducive to developing the fishing industry. As a result, universities across the country produced about 10 000 winners of university students scientific search prize and many academic degree and title holders as well.

Students of the DPRK also won international contests and championships one after another, thereby powerfully demonstrating the vitality of the talent-first idea and policy of the country and the advantages of its Juche-oriented education.
