Chairman Kim Jong Il, who had a grand plan to turn into a paradise of the people’s happiness a socialist country bequeathed by President Kim Il Sung as a valuable heritage, acquired deep insight into the importance of forest and water conservation in land administration and made public on March 6, 2002 a classic work “Let Us Build Up the Country into a Beautiful Land of the Age of the Workers’ Party Through Effective Forest and Water Conservation" to illuminate the path ahead of land administration.
The Chairman said that forest and water conservation is a patriotic work for prosperity of the country and happiness of the people and it is the Party’s plan and decision to conduct forest and water conservation properly so as to turn the country into a paradise of socialism, the land of beautiful scenes.
The Chairman felt a heavy heart when he used to see the mountains with few trees while making inspection of the front to defend the destiny of the country and nation. Though he was busy, the Chairman planted trees setting an example and visited forest management sectors energetically leading to make the country thick with trees and flowers.
Land administration is now being undertaken dynamically under the leadership of Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un who intends to further refurbish the country associated with immortal exploits achieved in land administration by the peerlessly great men of Mt Paektu.
Out of deep penetration of importance and significance of land administration, the Supreme Leader made public a classic work “On Bringing about a Revolutionary Turn in Land Administration in Line with the Demands for Building a Thriving Socialist Country” on April 27, 2012, thus providing an immortal guideline for a new revolutionary turn in land administration.
Saying that the bare mountains must not be left as they are and that forest restoration should be regarded as a war against nature, the Supreme Leader ardently called upon the whole Party and all the people to wage forest restoration campaign as they had brought about miracles in the postwar construction.
The DPRK people will build the socialist Korea into a beautiful people’s paradise while resolutely defending and adding eternal brilliance to the patriotic cause of the great leaders Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il under the wise leadership of Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un.
