This year marks the 75th anniversary of Korea’s liberation which was achieved by President Kim Il Sung through the 20-year anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle.

Greeting this day, the people in the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea recollect with emotion the immortal leadership exploits performed by the President who defeated the Japanese imperialists and brought about rebirth of the nation and liberation of the country by building the internal revolutionary force.

Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un said.

“As Kim Il Sung placed his trust in the masses and relied on them, he was able to push forward simultaneously such gigantic undertakings as authoring a guiding ideology of the revolution, forming a vanguard organization, founding an army, awakening the masses to their ideological consciousness and organizing them; thus he created a new history of the Juche revolution and led several stages of the difficult and complicated revolutionary struggle and the work of construction to victory without any mistake in his lines and without any failure.”

The President built the leadership force capable of leading the anti-Japanese revolutionary war to victory.

The President put forward an original line of founding a party at the historic Kalun meeting and formed the first party organization on July 3, 1930. The Society for Rallying Comrades whose guiding ideology was the Juche idea was the embryo and seed of the Workers’ Party of Korea; it was an organization with the importance of a parent body in forming and expanding the basic organizations of the party. With the formation of the first party organization—the Society for Rallying Comrades, the struggle for founding a revolutionary party and building an internal revolutionary force made progress in the course of the great anti-Japanese war. The party committee of the Korean People’s Revolutionary Army was formed at the end of May in 1934 and as a result, the unified guidance of the President over the overall Korean revolution could be fully ensured, the internal revolutionary force consolidated in every way and the victorious advance of the cause of national liberation firmly guaranteed.

The President built the powerful military force.

Advancing the original idea and line of giving importance to force of arms, the military affairs, the President channeled great efforts into the building of invincible revolutionary armed forces in accordance with the actual circumstances of the Korean revolution that was unfolded with the anti-Japanese armed struggle as the main. The President founded the Korean People’s Revolutionary Army, the first revolutionary armed force of a Juche type, on April 25, 1932. As a result, the Korean people have had the real army of their own and the glorious history of the Koran revolution advancing on the strength of force of arms begun.

The President rallied firmly the all-people resistance force.

In the period of starting the revolution, the President put it forward as the most important task to join all the forces of the nation in the sacred war for national liberation and energetically led for its implementation. The Association for the Restoration of the Fatherland was founded in May 1936 by the President’s wise leadership and tireless efforts. It was a standing body of the anti-Japanese national united front and a powerful underground revolutionary organization. The ARF firmly rallied the whole nation under the banner of national liberation while rapidly expanding its organizations not only in the homeland but also in the Korean inhabited areas of Manchuria and the mainland of Japan.

That the President opened up a new path of accomplishing the national liberation revolution in colonial countries by relying on the internal revolutionary force and brought about a victory of the anti-Japanese revolution is the great exploit performed by the President before the country and nation.
