The Arab-Korean Cooperation Council posted on its website an article titled "Anti-Japanese War Heroine Kim Jong Suk" on September 19.
The article carried photos of President Kim Il Sung and anti-Japanese war heroine Kim Jong Suk and said that history records many prominent women renowned for their dedications to the progress and prosperity of their countries and nations, but it does not know such an outstanding woman political activist as Kim Jong Suk, who devoted her all to the freedom and happiness of people.
The article said that she joined the Korean People's Revolutionary Army led by the President in 1935 and fought her way through the protracted anti-Japanese war with arms in hands for the liberation of the country, thus winning fame as a woman commander of the anti-Japanese war and competent political activist during those days.
She displayed matchless bravery, outstanding strategies and astonishing marksmanship in many battles, it noted, adding it is her greatest exploit that she had resolutely defended the President.
It said that after the liberation of Korea, she faithfully assisted the President who was working hard to build a new country.
She passed away at an early age on September 22, 1949, it said.
