A number of factories in the sector of footwear industry including the Sinuiju Footwear Factory and the Wonsan Leather Shoes Factory are actively producing shoes with waste plastic and rubber. The Pyongyang Cosmetics Factory has produced a lot of cosmetic cases through recycling of waste vinyl.
The Hamhung Disabled Soldiers' Essential Plastic Goods Factory and other similar units under the Daily Necessities Industrial Bureau are also directing efforts to recycling to fully provide raw materials and produce more goods such as raincoat.
