Pyongyang citizens are making up their minds to work hard to implement the decision of the 8th Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea.
Jong Kwang Hyok, a worker of the Pyongyang Thermal Power Complex, told KCNA that the election of Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un as general secretary of the WPK at its 8th Congress was the greatest honour and pride of the DPRK people, adding he would play a vanguard role in upholding his idea and leadership with loyalty.
Yun Hyok, a lecturer at Kim Il Sung University, said that he was greatly excited as he received the important guidelines for overall development of the Korean-style socialism advanced at the 8th WPK Congress.
“I came to know well about the general goal of education, which is to make education the one that can be fully entrusted with our future,” he continued, adding he would conduct educational work methodologically to train talents who will shoulder the development of the country’s chemical industry.
Kim Won Min, department director of the Ministry of Land and Environment Protection, said that he came to cherish once again the Party’s three noble ideals of “The people are God”, “single-hearted unity” and “self-reliance”.
“I am determined to devote all my energies to carrying out the decision of the 8th WPK Congress which indicates new goals of struggle and innovative ways for implementing them,” he said.
“I will endeavour to bring about a radical advance in the work of transforming the whole country into a socialist fairyland, a beautiful land in the era of the Workers’ Party in the period of the five-year plan for national economic development.”
