Young people of the DPRK are very excited at the news about Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un’s election as general secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea at the Eighth Congress of the Party.
Kim Chung Il, vice-chairman of the Pyongyang municipal youth league committee said that the youth are greatly honoured and boundlessly happy to hold the Supreme Leader at the top post of the dignified WPK.
The Supreme Leader has placed young people forward into the front ranks of the general onward march as a reserve force, advance group and wing of the Party storming ahead along the course of the Korean revolution indicated by the Party and as heroes of the times, he said.
We, young people, will as ever cherish his loving care and trust and vigorously advance with a pure heart along the road indicated by the great WPK, he added.
Kim Tong Chol, head of the Kim Jin Youth Shock Brigade at the Songnam Youth Coal Mine, said that through their own experience young coal miners in Songnam have keenly realized the truth that the country’s prosperity would be achieved at an early date if they follow the leadership of the Supreme Leader.
He expressed his determination to dig out larger amounts of coal to carry out the new five-year plan for national economic development as a member of the coal industry sector, an outpost for developing the self-supporting economy, with the honour of holding the Supreme Leader in high esteem as the general secretary of the WPK.
