Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un received a congratulatory letter from the General Association of Koreans in China on Monday.
The letter said that the officials of the general association and other Koreans in China extended the highest glory and warmest congratulations to the Supreme Leader, the tender-hearted father of the nation, with the deepest reverence for him, upon hearing the exciting news that he was elected as general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea.
It noted that it is the greatest fortune of the WPK and the Korean nation to hold the Supreme Leader respected and revered by all peoples as the most prominent political leader in the present era in high esteem as head of the WPK again, adding that it is a great political event which provide a guarantee for the rosy future of the socialist homeland.
It praised the Supreme Leader for having achieved a great exploit to be etched in the history of the nation by developing the WPK into the most dignified, capable and powerful political general staff of the revolution and the genuine motherly party absolutely supported and trusted by the people, and thus raising the overall power and status of the DPRK to the highest level.
Saying that he offered warm greetings to overseas compatriots on the first day of the 8th Congress of the WPK and made sure that protection and guarantee of the democratic national rights and interests of overseas compatriots are specified in the newly revised rules of the WPK, it lauded the Supreme Leader as the tender-hearted father of overseas compatriots with boundless love for them and warm patriotism.
It expressed their will to further develop the general association into the reliable organization of overseas compatriots of Juche Korea by conducting dynamic patriotic activities for contributing to the building of a powerful nation, the cause of national reunification and the development of the DPRK-China friendly relations with socialism as its core, holding fast to the outstanding line and policies for struggle newly set forth at the 8th Congress of the WPK as its guidelines.
