The respected Supreme Leader

sent a reply message to the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Viet Nam.
The message reads.

I express deep thanks to you for having sent warm congratulations to me as regards my assumption of the post of General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea at the Eighth Party Congress.
Your sincere and warm congratulations and best wishes are powerfully encouraging our Party and people who have turned out to implement the decision of the Eighth Party Congress.
I am sure that the traditional relations of friendship and cooperation between our two parties and two peoples, which have entered a new high stage, would constantly strengthen and develop in the joint struggle for accomplishing the socialist cause in the future, too, in accordance with the spirit of the agreement made with you in March 2019.
At the same time, I sincerely wish you good health and great success in your responsible work leading the Party and the state.
