Army-people rallies were held in South Phyongan, South Hwanghae and Kangwon Provinces
and Nampho and Kaesong Cities on the 20th to offer the greatest honour
to the respected
Kim Jong Un
elected General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and thoroughly implement the decision of the Eighth Party Congress.
Present at the rallies were officials and workers of the local Party
and government organs, working people's organizations, industrial
establishments and cooperative farms and service personnel of the Korean
People's Army and the Public Security Forces.
Speeches were made.
The speakers said the election of
Kim Jong Un
as General Secretary of the WPK is an eruption of the boundless admiration of the Korean people for the great father; it is a national great event which provided a decisive guarantee for victory of
revolution and promised a bright future.
They fully
supported and approved the decision of the historic Party Congress applying the noble ideals--"The People Are God", "single-hearted unity" and "self-reliance". They called upon all to perform miracles and feats on the road of general march for opening up a new period of great upsurge and gigantic period of upheaval of revolution.
Letters of pledge to
Kim Jong Un
were adopted at the rallies.
Then, there were mass demonstrations.
