Pyongyang Teachers Training College has made over 400 educational scientific research hits and generalized them to some 5 200 units over the past three years since its reconstruction.
After setting high goals to make education programmes of each subject practical and synthesize and update them, the college organized meetings for joint review and presentations on experience to set fine examples and introduce them into practice.
It applied an education control system which helps control lessons and study of lecturers and students to enhance the lecturers’ knowledge transmission ability and students’ enthusiasm for study, quest for knowledge and presentation ability, narrow the gap between simulation and actual lessons as much as possible and further improve the virtual lesson experiencing system.
Efficient education methods have been employed in education including the brain development education method using abacus, which is helpful in cultivating gifted talents and aptitudes of children and developing their intellectual faculties, and the robot education method, which helps primary pupils improve their general intelligence.
An education method was invented to enhance recognition and descriptive ability of students through theoretical analysis of light and shade.
The English class online education method using visual aids for primary pupils proves to be very effective in encouraging pupils to study by themselves and improving their sensitivity.
The college also played a role as the academic research and distribution centre of teachers training colleges.
Over 190 textbooks and reference books were authored and more than 10 000 pieces of education support programs and teaching aids in some 40 kinds made and introduced into education at the college. They were also disseminated to Mangyongdae Revolutionary School, Pyongyang Primary School for Orphans, primary schools and kindergartens in the City of Samjiyon and many others across the country.
The college organized symposiums and academic exchanges regularly through the unified academic system embracing all teachers training colleges throughout the country and generalized valuable teaching methods. It also ran in-service training courses effectively to improve the educational and practical qualifications of lecturers.
