Present there were members of the Confederation, Koreans in Russia and members of the Russian Association for Friendship and Cultural Cooperation with the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.
Kim Chil Song, Chairman of the United Confederation of Koreans in Russia, made a congratulatory speech to be followed by others.

as the great teacher who developed the Juche idea in depth with his energetic ideological and theoretical activities and provided the world progressives with a powerful ideological and theoretical weapon.
Sok Song, First Vice-Chairman of Confederation, cordially notified that
Kim Jong Un
was elected General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea according to the unanimous will of the entire Party members. He also dwelt upon the Eighth Congress of the WPK and the tasks set forth at the Congress.
A performance was given by Korean artistes in Russia.
Put on the stage were colorful numbers including the immortal revolutionary hymn "Song of General

", the immortal masterpiece "Azaleas" and the dance "Fan Dance".
